I know I want a tattoo, but I’m not sure exactly what to get. Is it okay to book a consultation?
Of course! Please don’t feel pressured to have every detail figured out. If you resonate with my work but are still looking for the right concept, booking a consultation is the perfect first step. Think of it as a creative conversation where I’ll help guide your vision toward the Neotraditional or Japanese Neotraditional styles I specialize in. Together, we’ll explore themes and flow that speak to you, turning that “I don’t know yet” into a piece of art you’ll love forever. I’m here to help you find your direction.
How do I book a session in Hong Kong?
Just easy as visiting my page of Bookings , choose date and time and prepare yourself in advance for our meeting taking a look at the Guidelines page (depending you have choose meeting for Consult your tattoo proyect or already Booking a Tattoo session)
What is your tattooing style?
My artistic focus specializes in Neo-traditional and Neo-Japanese styles. While the majority of my portfolio features Black and Grey work, I also love working with color to create vibrant, high-contrast pieces.
I have extensive experience with large-scale projects, including full sleeves, half sleeves, and chest pieces, as well as major compositions like full and half-back pieces. While I enjoy these ambitious projects, I am open to tattoos of various sizes—provided the concept allows for the right detail, flow, and longevity to ensure the piece ages beautifully.
Culturally, my work is a personal fusion: I draw deep inspiration from my Mexican heritage, while also being strongly drawn to the symbolism and aesthetics of Oriental themes.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes, an initial deposit is required, but it is only to secure your consultation appointment. This ensures a dedicated time for us to discuss your design and project details.
Regarding the tattooing process, particularly for multi-session pieces, you don’t need to pay for the whole project upfront. Payments are made on a session-by-session basis, with the balance for the work completed being settled at the end of each session.
How do you choose the right size and placement for my idea?
Your body isn’t a flat canvas. During our consultation, I’ll analyze your anatomy and muscle flow to ensure the design moves naturally with you. Sometimes, a slight change in scale or a small tilt makes the difference between a tattoo that looks good and one that looks extraordinary.
Can I get tattooed if I have scars or skin conditions in the area?
In many cases, yes! However, scars must be fully healed (usually at least 1-2 years old) and the skin must be stable. We should examine the area during a consultation to determine if the skin can safely hold the pigment and achieve the desired artistic result.
What is the best time of year to get a large piece done?
You can absolutely get tattooed all year round! While many prefer the cooler months, I specialize in scheduling your sessions strategically. We can plan the process so that areas most exposed to the sun are worked on during autumn or winter, or simply manage the timeline to ensure a safe and seamless healing journey regardless of the season. Together, we’ll make sure your lifestyle and your new art stay in perfect harmony.
How do color and grayscale options affect the longevity of my tattoo?
Both color and black-and-grey tattoos are designed to last a lifetime when executed with precision. Black ink provides high contrast and a timeless structure that naturally ages with great stability. On the other hand, a vibrant color palette offers a dynamic, expressive energy that can bring a piece to life in a unique way. My priority is to use high-quality pigments and techniques tailored to your skin, ensuring that whether you choose the depth of grayscale or the richness of color, your art remains beautiful and harmonious for decades to come.
Can I bring my own skincare products for the healing process?
I highly recommend sticking to the neutral soap and specific routine we discussed. Some “organic” or “natural” products contain oils or fragrances that can clog pores or cause allergic reactions on open skin. If you have a specific product in mind, let’s check the ingredients together first.
Can I see the design before my tattoo appointment?
Absolutely. My process includes a dedicated Design Preview Session prior to your tattoo date. We will review the artwork together to discuss every detail. If minor adjustments are needed, we refine them on the spot. If a complete redesign is requested, we may reschedule the tattoo session. Once you are 100% happy, we move forward.
Is it okay to tan or use self-tanning products before my session?
Please avoid both! A sunburn will make it impossible to tattoo, and self-tanners can interfere with how I see your natural skin tone and how the ink settles. Keep the area hydrated and protected from the sun for at least two weeks prior.
I’m feeling a bit nervous or under the weather—should I still come in?
If you are feeling sick (cold, flu, etc.), it is best to reschedule. Your immune system needs to be at 100% to heal the tattoo properly. If it’s just nerves, don’t worry! Deep breathing and a good meal beforehand work wonders. We will take it at your pace.
Can I work out or go to the gym right after getting tattooed?
It’s best to take a break for at least 48 to 72 hours. Sweat, friction from gym clothes, and bacteria on equipment are the main enemies of a fresh tattoo. Give your body the rest it deserves to kickstart the healing process.
Do you “fix” or touch up old tattoos from other artists?
I handle these on a case-by-case basis. My focus is on my personal style, but if I feel I can truly improve the piece while staying true to my artistic vision, I’d love to discuss it during a consultation.
What happens if my tattoo needs a touch-up once it’s healed?
Art is a living thing, and sometimes skin heals differently. I offer a complimentary touch-up session within the first two months of the original appointment if it’s necessary for the integrity of the piece. (Note: This doesn’t apply to poor aftercare!).
Can I use numbing cream?
Please consult with me before applying anything. Some numbing creams can change the texture of the skin, making it harder to tattoo or affecting the final pigment. If we agree on using one, it must be a specific brand and applied at a certain time.
